As in the title. What has been the best and most original fancy dress outfit you have seen? I'm trying to get ideas as my dad hosts a massive party every Halloween and every year I have been, someone has turned up in the same bloody outfit.

No matter which fancy dress outlet you look at, they all seem to stock the same stuff.

It has to be:
-Original
-Different
-Preferably not available on every fancy dress web shop out there
-As ludicrous as possible
-Not ridiculously expensive

I thought about putting a sleeping bag over my head and going as "a sock" but that would be rubbish. I'm not very creative (read homosexual). I also thought about renting a wheelchair and going as Stephen Hawking but that would probably offend quite a lot of people. There aren't any wheelchair ramps either.

Get a big cardboard box, cut the top and bottom off and hang it on yourself with suspenders (you have those, right?) and decorate it so you look like a car, or... well anything really!

For what it's worth, at the last fancy dress party I went to I stuck on a big brown robe, put a cross around my neck and went as a Monk. Got quite a few looks...

Kirkcaldy.
My bf and his friends were gonna buy Knights of Gondor outfits from Ebay this year to go out for Halloween. Outfits were about £100 though! Now he's thinking of going as Altair from Assisin Creed.
In a club full I'm neds I'm sure the outfits will be lost on everyone! :p

Not an outfit, but it reminded me of this joke :)

This bloke decides to throw a party and invites lots of people,
telling them to bring their friends too. On the invitation he puts:
"Fancy dress party - come as a human emotion."

On the night of the party the first guest arrives and he opens the
door to see a bloke covered in green paint with the words N and V
painted on his chest.

"Wow, great outfit, what emotion have you come as?" the hosts asks.

"I'm green with envy," the guy answers.

"Brilliant, come on in and have a drink," replies the host.

A few minutes later the next guest arrives and the host opens the door
to see a woman covered in a pink bodystocking with a feather boa
wrapped round her most intimate parts.

"Wow, great outfit, what emotion have you come as?" he asks.

"I'm tickled pink."

"I love it, come on in and join the party."

A couple of minutes later the doorbell goes for the third time and the
host opens the door to see two black Jamaican guys, stark
naked, one with his p***s stuck in a bowl of custard and other with
his p***s stuck in a pear.

The host is really shocked and says, "You could get arrested
out on the street like that. What are you supposed to be?"

The first guy replies (in a strong West Indian accent), "Well, I'm
******g disgusted and my friend here has come in despair."

One of my friends once cut the top and bottom off a cardboard box and stuck pieces of coloured card on the sides and went as a rubix cube. Another got a box over his head with free mammograms written on it. Had the whole YMCA troop turn up at a house party of mine once :) What else... a girl got a full on penguin outfit off one of those web shops..

Me and a friend did the Hearts and Spades people from Alice in Wonderland for a Disney party. Pretty simple (2 pieces of A1 card, black and white card for numbers, string over shoulders). Was quite cool but you couldn't sit down..

I didn't see it myself but my mates saw it and loved it. I guy got a pillow and padded it out so it would stay upright on his head, put a couple of eyeholes and that was done. Next he hung a duvet cover off his back. Who is this masked hero?

Pillow man. I wish i saw it, it sounds genius.

Friend of mine turned up to a fancy dress party in a full Ghosbusters costume that he built from scratch.
