Had another go as I bumped my system RAM from 1600 to 1866 and thought I'd try pushing the cards too.

2x 6950 2GB (6970 shaders) @ 970MHz core, 1450MHz RAM
i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz

2320 for a pair of 2 year old cards isn't too bad I think :)

Just updated with new screen :)

Score: 2022(Couldn't have got it any closer to 2000 :p)
HD7970 @ 1150 Core 1600 Mem (can push slightly higher on the core but pretty much my stable limit)
i7 3770k @ 4.2Ghz (Lucid was disabled for the test)

I've no idea, all I've done is change the bclk and I was able to push the GPU further. It's a clean install of Win 7 after I tested Windows 8.

Score: 2431
i5 @ 4.9GHz (48*103)
7970 @ 1370/1900

Big gratz Stonerdude the fresh install made the difference and in all fairness I never understood why you always scored lower then you should have lol, at one point I had almost the same score as you with my 7950, but with those clocks you should have been top on almost all benchmark's

That's why I never listen to those gimps who say just install over your old drivers. :D

Yeah me neither, uninstall, driver sweeper, again in safemode and install pretty simple really, but then again fresh installs help a lot and having a back image of a fresh install saves so much time

Yet another go with the new beta drivers. 2603, nearly a 300 point increase! Not bad

For those using the CPU or Bclk to add a few extra points, the latter will also increase PCI-E bandwidth and potentially improve scores, also keep in mind that both memory frequency and sub-timings will affect final score.

In addition, not all memory brands performs the same regardless of frequency and timings in use.

Thanks Kamz. I always wondered myself why my score was lower than most. With the 1330/1900 clocks I should have been up there with Matt and Locky, so I tried Windows 8 to see if that improved things, which it didn't, then instead of restoring Win 7 I just installed a fresh copy which seems to have helped along with bclk clocking.

can someone tell an old git what MVP and BLK is?

Ta
Ps Humbug my card is in white text not red ;) excellent work though :)

MVP is some softeware that lets you use the iGPU and the Main GPU together, it gives a boost to fps, only a slight boost but enough to scew the results.

BLK is the number in the BIOS.

Say 45x100BLK gives 4.5Ghz.

I know and I know that CYPER is the one that pm'd the mods and OP on that forum.

Hello everyone.

First Cyper didnt sell you all. I discovered it myself.

Lock3h --- CPU@ 3930k 4.7 Ghz ---- GPU 7970 ; 1340 / 1900 ---- AVG. FPS 61.0 ---- Score 2514

1307834

Something fishy here, I don.t undertsand why you have lower score (2514) than people with 60,2.

1307920

How am I suppose to fit you there?

After entering all the data manually, its really hard to trick me. Yes there is probably cheaters in the chart but no cheaters will be able to make Top 10 of any charts since I suspect higher scores sometimes and members with low post count or low reputation points.

Anyhow, if you want to participate in a legit way, feel free to join and fill the form, don't forget to post a screenshot.... Not a tricky one :D .
