OK, starting to play a little with my new card.

XFX R7970 "Core Edition" clocked at 1150/1675 MHz (as seen in the screenshot). Voltage 1.113 V (stock, GPU-Z reporting below 1.1 V at all times).

Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.4 GHz (stock), but I don't think that matters much.

Nah, OCing the CPU doesnt help much except add a couple of points :p

Do you literally mean a couple?

I'd been running my CPU at 4.6 GHz until a month ago, but I've done a stupid thing upgrading to the beta UEFI bios from Gigabyte, which turns out to be worthless in almost every way, and then reverted back to the Hybrid BIOS. Now the board is playing up with voltages, so I didn't bother overclocking it since the difference is too minimal for me to notice in real use.

Yeah, for me it was max 10points anyway from a stock i5 2500k to a 4.5GHz
Gained more points, OCing the GPU mem by another 20MHz and core by 10MHz

I might be able to push the core by 10-15 MHz on stock volts, but putting the memory at 1700 MHz results in the nasty stripes across the screen. Still quite happy with the results.

I had a crack at this last night once finally going SLI 670's. Running a 3570K @ 4.2 with both 670's at stock clocks @ 1080p 120 hz and achieved 3239. I have no idea whether is the good, bad or average :(
