After looking at the AB OSD, I think the powertune(or dynamic clocks) on the new amd cards reacts so quickly that it downclocks in the fade out and in between scenes. This could be marginally dragging the min FPS (and the average) down. Just a thought. Now that I can up voltage by 0.100, I'll see how far I can push. Also tip to anyone, close afterburner. I was OC'ed, and AB took performance below my stock scores.
EDIT: Anyway, I upped voltage by 100mV in AB. Haven't been brave enough yet to go past 1123/1552 yet.

Yep, convinced powertune is the culprit. Did a few other runs, the only differences being the min FPS. I watched the FPS counter like a hawk, and it never reaches anything like the mid 20's I see reported. It must be during the transitions as the core speed goes to 300 or so.
Although very brief, the fact they are around 20 FPS lower than the otherwise minimum brings down the overall average. Perhaps why Hawaii does better in Firestrike?
If you want, please delete some of my other scores lol, I don't want to push otherwise legit scores off.

been playing around with my clocks, and managed to get this score, which im happy with.
and for the life of me, i cant get that extra point!

Couldn't push anymore, these damn drivers seem to effect how stable the overclocks are far more the the earlier ones.Still getting the blackscreen too if i push the memory too far, bloody annoying as hell!.

I ran this on my 6970 after finally working out the issue with green lines over the screen (I needed to add +10 to the power limit). It was getting very annoying, as it worked in some things but not in others and different drivers were good in some things but not in others...Nightmare

@ UKSoldierboy, Tied for 34th is nothing to be ashamed of fella. Once you get volts unlocked to 1.4v+, the 290X's will be knocking the Titans off the top.

That's impressive for a 6970, still great little card and i had no problems playing BF4 on mine @high.
