It probably does play a part, but I think there's more at play here.

Unless you can get your cpu up to 5ghz, we'll have to see if Matt's up for matching clocks with you.
I'd OC more, but this chip is a crap clocker and my 5ghz capable 2600k is buried under watercooling in my 7970 rig.

Found a 7950 run in my Hitman Screenshot folder, might as well through that in too Kap:

290X ~40% faster than the 7950@1200/1600-different drivers though.

Will do a 4.4ghz run shortly and won't follow my usual benching procedure either, stand by.

Scaling on crossfire isn't the best at 1080P, but its good at 1440P. I'm finding scaling was better on my 7950 and 7990 in a lot of games to be honest. Looks like amd need to work on their scaling somewhat.

KAAP THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY!!

I lost 7 fps on the average and 10 on the minimum by having my cpu at 4.4ghz vs 5ghz.
