I don't think Nvidia spend a lot of time optimising for OpenCL compute as they do with CUDA. Unfortunately though AMD cards can't run or bench anything with CUDA in it because of the lockout but Nvidia can cards can run OpenCL as its Open. When i tried Gregs CUDA bench it would only run on the cpu and as you can imagine the score was terrible in comparison. Certainly a lot lower than yours on this bench. :p

Probably. Nvidia gpu's do really well in the OpenCL benchmark thread Kaap posted. That's quite old and outdated now though and has not been updated since 2007 i believe.
