My EVGA SC No matter what the voltage, GPU anything past or up to 110MHz starts corrupting even +87mV and water cooled. I sit at +90 to give a nice round 1500MHz and +400MHz on the ram. Surprised you don't get more than +100MHz on the ram?

I have just taken my MSI reference out the box for testing today. Just cleaning up the PC before installing but the cooler is lovely and the backplate really finishes it off.

Holding it you do feel like you are holding something worthy of it's cost.

My EVGA 980 GTX SC with NZXT G10 with logo removed and a swish GeForce Sticker from auction site.

Have you put any heatsinks on the vram and memory?

Quiet a lot to keep cool:

Hey, No memory heatsinks, doesn't need it neither did my 780 Ti. DDR runs at such low voltages. Holding my fingers on the ddr chips and they are comfortable. Power circuit cooled by 92mm fan. Thermometer says back of card around 53 degrees under full load. 48 degrees above GPU.

Also put a Noctua 92mm redux fan, pushes major air and is all pwm controlled by the GPU fan as well as the rad fan with a pwm fan splitter,so I have full control over the fans, I use push pull on the rad (not in the photo) and sit around 47 degrees at full OC load.

I have set mine to +250 on the core which is just over 1500Mhz on boost. All seems ok the default fan profile lets it hit 80.c quiet easily so tweaked it and it sits around 75.c.
