Yeah when you consider the cost of other flagships gone by like 8800GTX Ultra, 7990, 295x2, GTX 690, yeah some were dual GPU's but I prefer a single GPU monster with all the vram !!

Expensive but it's a tier above everything else right now. Hopefully AMD will respond soon and prices / performance levels will get a shakeup.

I fully expect Nvidia's next high end mainstream card i.e 580, 680, 980 , X8X to have this Titan X level of performance at a lower price point and lower power consumption etc. Then everyone should be happy..

Can see myself buying another when these hit £600/700, hopefully the 390X might help this.

980Ti with 6GB ram and 5-10% performance increase on the TitanX for half the price is probably inevitable and would be rather annoying...

Ok but I have 32gb system and it still lagged up until last week when I sold my 980s

I would be fine with that, 6GB isn't enough imho. 1440P / 4K users should be looking at 8GB min going forward imho.
