The instructions for flashing the bios seem a bit complicated. Is there a video somewhere i can watch which shows the step by step directions?

If no one has posted a video of this by tomorrow I will be flashing mine tomorrow so I will screen capture this and post it up on YouTube

The above assumes my card arrives by tomorrow which I am crossing my fingers for. Stock is supposed to be landing today.

The instructions couldn't be any more simple to be honest.

True dat.

To be honest I don't think you need to go crazy with a custom bios unless you're on water.

The TX overclocks pretty well even with stock voltages. All it needs is a custom fan profile (if on air) and you are good for ~1380+.

I posted a BIOS with easy to follow instructions in this post.I did it with Asus Titan X Modded Bios but you can replace it with any BIOS.

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=27845273&postcount=2093

Code:
Did not see Asus Titan X Bios .

Asus Titan X 84.00.1F.00.02 Bios Modded

Power Target-121%
Mv-1281.3 So will read in EVGA Precision 1261.1-1271.1 Did not test with Multi Meter

Make folder on desktop and name it NVFlash_AsusTitanX
Extract files to NVFlash_AsusTitanX
Disable the display driver for card in device manager
Open cmnd prompt as admin
Paste in cmnd prompt->
CD C:\Users\yourname\Desktop\NVFlash_AsusTitanX
nvflash --protectoff
nvflash -6 AsusTitanX.rom
Press y twice to flash bios.

Always backup your BIos first.

And my replacement card is on its way!

What was wrong with your first one fella?

I'm asking as I returned my Titan X after 1 week :( - it kept hard locking my whole PC on loading and exiting certain games and benchmarks. I had to manually reboot my comp each time.

Popped both my 780Tis back in, and not one single problem since. I can only assume my TX was faulty in some way, given my system can happily power and run 780Ti SLI!

I've decided to wait a bit now, see what the 980Ti brings and go from there.

Quick question guys

How do I keep a solid 1400mhz, my card clocks beyond but for a stable gaming O/C I want to run 1400mhz with no dips if possible.

I have a nice fan profile which rarely goes beyond 74c (full load) and of course have upped the power limit and temp limit. However my clock when gaming only (not benching) moves between 1400 and 1367mhz.

Is it possible to stabilize it?

Flash the Maxair bios, people have mentioned the downlock due to the GPU hitting the 110% power limit. This unlocks TDP for the card so it stays at your OC with no dips.

Yeah noticed it dips when its near 110%, is it safe going above this and if so by how much

There's is no chance to destroy the card as it has a fixed max voltage of 1.274v if I recall correctly as well as failsafes.

If you go to high on the OC you are going to just hang or the driver will crash (unstable OC) while if you go to high on the temps it will start throttling.

The fan failed. That evidently caused other components to fail because rather than simply fit a cooler cast-off from 8-Pack's lab they had to replace the whole thing.
