On air the highest I'd go is the maxair BIOS, it locks the card to 1.255v though.

The EVGA SC 425 bios is fine for some but I was getting crashes due to voltage not being high enough for my clocks, could have just upped the voltage manually in PX but I flashed maxair instead.

Anything that gives you a higher TDP to stop power throttling is a good start.

That's cool, I downloaded both of those last night. I'll flash this weekend.

I want 2 EVGA SC versions of these but can't find them anywhere. Any reason not to pull the trigger on a couple of ASUS ones? They don't seem to be as popular. From a warranty point of view it would be OCUK dealing with it would it not?

It goes through OCUK yes.

Just grab any two and flash the bios to the SC version.

Yep, having seen various posts about GTA V using more than 8GB in those resolutions, I am just sick of having to worry about VRAM. 980ti won't have more than 8GB I would imagine so Titan X was the only choice really.

The 980Ti reportedly has a different chip configuration than the Titan X GM200-400, which leads me to believe it will have fewer CUDA cores.

But 6GB is definitely enough for 3440x1440 in my opinion. 2 x 980Ti would be great.

If the 980Ti does indeed have the same number of cores as the Titan X I would seriously consider selling mine and picking up two of them for this resolution.

It's GM200 dash something.

Pretty sure that means it's basically a stepping change (as someone already pointed out)?

And not anything drastic like chopping off shaders. (going by NV nomenclature of the past)

Anyone find their Titan X smells? :) Probably just a new card smell but can't say I have noticed any smell in the past with other new cards. Bit like burning PCB but as it hasn't exploded yet after about an hour of gaming I'm assuming all okay. Only smelling under load, so not at Windows desktop.

What film? :p
Noticed something on top of my old card when I removed it but didnt inspect as put it straight into the original box but would assume the part (heat sink shroud/casing) the film sits on doesnt get hot.
Used it again this evening for 30mins and didn't notice it so seems to have settled now. I'll check inside the PC tomorrow morning to check for any melted plastic film :). Doubt it was that to be honest
