I used the right scew driver as all the other screws came out without a problem. Just the last 2 on the fan shroud refused to come out. Oh well I guess I'll stick with the blower fan and sell the evga cooler

Any news on new drivers for these? No problems with them but still using drivers available from near the release other than the game ready driver for GTA but even that was 4 weeks ago now I think?. Wondering if working on some good further speed improvements and a fix for FC4 (or workaround for dodgy code) would be nice.

There was a rumour about a performance driver.

I'm happy with the current driver, no issues so far.

Try placing a rubber band on the screw that you've stripped and try again. Works on bigger screws, never tried it on smaller but its worth a shot.

Is this hybrid cooler the same as for the GTX 980 which EVGA previously released or is there a specific Titan X version? Does it actually cool the VRMs and RAM?

The GTX980 one. The VRMs and RAM are cooled with the OG FAN.

was just about to order a waterblock and backplate but overclockers don't have any of them is there a eta on these? the stock cooler is really annoying me with the noise of it

I had a similar problem with 2 screws these were allen key type screws. I eventually got them out by using a rubber band and a slightly bigger Torx head and a bit of wiggling, just enough to loosen the screws. i will need to replace them if i ever put the original shroud back on

I imagine quite a while. I can tell you that the EVGA waterblock will be available next week/week after on the EVGA Europe site.

Backplates affect temperature at all?

Going by how many venting holes the EVGA backplate has, temps wouldn't be effected I'd have thought.
