One for the Gallery . Ignore the damn wallpaper lol. Had to mod my desk as i originally had it at the side and move it into the spare room hense the horrific wallpaper. And the camera is pretty bad aswell. But anyway finally done, well almost.

Just need the new EVGA 3 way V2 SLI bridge, LED's etc. Ohh and I still havent come up with a name yet, really unsure what to name the thing.

System is super quiet and suprising with all the fans pretty quiet aswell, i dont like a dead silent system but its nice. The cards perform amazingly idling at low 20s and running maxed out in the mid 30s overclocked. Love the custom loop so far.

If kaapstad, you could change my ROH MSI 980Ti Gaming 6G to EVGA 980Ti SC Reference. I can post the boxes if needed thanks .

The worst part...
A bad fan controller, and ZOTAC admits that it is a widespread issue.
The fans do not run at a nice, smooth RPM - even when using a fan controller to keep them at a constant speed. Let's say that you're playing a game at the fans are at 70% duty cycle. The fan speed will drop down to about 10% for a split second, then back up. A couple seconds later the same thing happens. Again and again... If the fans are about to start spinning, instead of spinning, they flick on, then off, then on, until the card heats up enough for them to actually stay on. Even when kept at a constant percentage the speed drops randomly. The issue? More electrical interference causing the fan controller to report double the RPM for a split second, then the driver doing its job and dropping the RPM back down. This was confirmed directly by ZOTAC support.

ZOTAC sent over a revised BIOS for the video card, but they said that it still might not fix the issue - it didn't - it made it worse.

This is basic electrical engineering, and for ZOTAC to overlook something like this and ship out a faulty product is ridiculous to say the least. All of these issues can be seen by other people on forums and YouTube as well - I am not the only one. Go to YouTube and type in "980 Ti Amp Extreme" and you will see other people with these issues on the first page of search results.

For example, if I fix the fan speed at 100% which comes in at about 2800 RPM, it momentarily slows down to 2600 RPM and then speeds up again. Obviously the faster the fan is running, the more audible the drop and the increase back to correct speed is noticeable.

I saw the thread on Overclock.net and the BIOS which someone said ZOTAC sent them but it didn't make any difference for me.

I've emailed their support department to see if they are aware of a fix as it is quite an issue.

I think the review said something about the fans being tied with the GPU power load causing the fluctuation which is an odd way to do things.

If there is no solution in sight at all I may have to consider returning and getting something else. I don't want to lose my 80% ASIC though, the stock boost it nets me is just epic.
