Under 18's can buy and drink Shandy, but they can't buy or drink alcohol free beer?

You don't need ID to buy Beck's Non Alcohlic beer. It'll likely be shop policy to ID you.

Shandy, in can form (less than 0.5%) isn't classed as alcohol in the Licensing Act 2003.
Also, alcohol found in medicinal products and denatured alcohol (as found in listerine) also aren't classed as alcohol in the above Act and thus not bound by the conditions of the Act.
