hi,

just moved into a new house and got round to fitting some new carpet, problem is the computer chair i have has wheels and there sinking into the carpet and leaving ruts, thought about removing the wheels, but still think the legs would mark the carpet.

figure i'm stuffed any which way, just wondered what the best thing to do is, so it does least damage to the carpet.

cheers

The wider the surface area, the less pressure it exerts onto the carpet. So the simple solution is to place pads under each set of wheels, or buy a chair with larger wheels, or get rid of the carpet.

you can't do anything. i have put bits of cardboard under the legs on my bed to soften the impact but these cannot be seen but wouldn't look too good under a computer chair really.
