i drove a matiz 0.9, didn't think it was that bad tbh. Same with the Chevy Malibu, nice 4.0 v6 in something not much bigger than a focus.

Worst thing i have driven is a mk5 escort, but it was a pretty bad example.

I've had loads of fun in all the old sheds I've owned, and the newer ones as well so none stick in my mind as being particularly crap. Of crap cars I have driven, a 1.6 Sierra pool car at my last job is the worst, the wheel could be moved forward and back about an inch or so due to knackered bushes and it would try to kill you if you dared overtake a lorry on the motorway.

Another nasty car was the Vauxhall Disappointment, sorry I mean the 07 plate 3 door 1.6 Astra. Glacial performance; easily the slowest "new" 1.6 I have ever driven, ergonomics designed by a baboon (who also built it) and boot space that could barely manage a toothbrush. Why on earth did people buy these useless things?

I had mine about a year, was an L reg, had to scrap it because of the gearbox going on me..

It didn't even have power steering, but it was hillarious, I installed a 12" Sub inside.. it was hillarious.

Mine had electric windows, central locking and a sunroof! No power steering, but then the car was made out of pasta so it didn't really need it ;)

I've not driven the older ones, but I had a 2007 Punto hire car and thought it was a great little car. Surprisingly roomy, very reasonable performance for such a small engine and felt well put together.

Sisters boyfreind had a Grande Punto, can't remember if it was the 1.4 or 1.6, I had a little throw about in it and it seemed a nice, well put together car.

My girlfriends 1.1 Peugeot 206. Mainly though becauce it's an absolutely piece of **** and knackered! It's the same age as mine (W-reg) but I swear every part of the engine and suspension has been changed due to it being knackered. Shocking quality.

Oh and my left foot fouls on the steering column which is really annoying.

If I drove my mum's old Daewoo Matiz for any length of time I think it would be a clear winner but fortunately only ever had to move it on and off the drive.

Worst car (well van) was probably a 1.8 N/A Diesel Escort van, ridiculously lethargic making it difficult to drive at any speeds, loud (and not in a good way), rattly, just generally pants.

the misses had an auto-magic 1l Yaris as a curtsy car a while back that thing was just a joke. The kick down seemed to be totally random, and when it did kick in it ran out of revs almost instantly so had to change up again.... you ended up kangerooing down the road or accelerating at a snail's pace!

A Mercedes A Class diesel last summer in Portugal. A very soft and unresponsive ride, a little bit frightening on windy roads at speed. It had 4000 kms on the clock and it lost the clutch after sixteen days.

1.1 litre Metro that had been converted into an adertising hoarding. It also had a drivers side window made of plywood. Luckily I only had to drive it half a mile (I somehow managed to get lost).

I've also driven a Nissan Almera, which was tedium on wheels.

Yup, the 206 is crap. When mines was 2 years old, the CVs, suspension and steering went, this was with hardly any usage and did not use it hard at all. All claimed on warranty after a long battle with the dealer (claiming wear despite the parts lasting no time)

Austin Metro 1.0 City X was a truly terrible car. First gear got you to about 3mph before you needed to change to second, I hated it but it was cheap and economical so it did while I was at college. I think I'd rather cycle these days though.

For boredom I'd rate my old Mondeo pretty high, it tires me just thinking about it *yawn*
