Just wanted some advice regarding returning my Nexus 4. A few weeks ago I received my Nexus 4 after a week or so it developed a fault where I couldn't hear people unless I put them on loudspeaker. I contacted Google who arranged for a replacement to be sent out. I received the replacement today.

This is their returns policy: -

1. Print the attached Return Authorization form

2. Insert the Return Authorization form into the outer shipping box.

3. You'll receive a return shipping label with your replacement device. Use this label with the shipping container used for returning your original device.

4. Schedule a pickup with our shipping provider, or take your package to any authorized shipping outlet near you.
I didn't receive a return shipping label with my replacement.I contacted Google and they said TNT will send a bag with the shipping label for me to send it back. He didn't sound convincing and when I asked him when TNT would do this he wasn't sure. I get the feeling this is going to end up being a real hassle. Has anyone had any experience returning devices to Google and what was the procedure?

An authorization for the full price of the replacement device will be placed on your credit card. This means that a portion of your card’s credit limit is held for several days, but no charge is made if your original device is delivered within 21 days and the damage to your device is verified to be covered under warranty.

I did have a portion of my debit card's limit held but now it's disappeared. Does that mean if I don't send it back within the 21 days they can still charge me the full amount even though the limit has been lifted?

Having the same issues at the moment. Yes, TNT are supposed to send a bag out a couple of working days after you receive the replacement, but so far this hasn't happened, and I now have three Nexus 4s waiting to be returned.

Have rung Google several times, they said last weekend they will contact TNT and arrange for two bags to be sent, so we will see if they get here tomorrow.

You've reminded me actually, I'm going to call TNT now...

I'd call Google up and get them to add a note to the case under the circumstances (as they have done for me).

I might as well put this in my sig :D

First was an 8GB model when I ordered a 16. Second has a dent above the volume rocker, and a massive panel gap around the whole shiny bezel (essentially not put on properly), and the last one has what appears to be a crack in the LCD (the glass itself is fine). Last one arrived today, and finally, it's a good 'un.

It seems that none of the top three manufacturers are able to build a phone properly, however.

Didn't manage to get through to them. Was merely going to ask whether they had any deliveries from Google for me, though I'm not sure if they'd just give such information out.

Don't count on it. Today is day 21, the day where I get charged, and I've received nothing, even after pushing several times.

I would call your credit card company from them taking your money if it gets over the 21 day return thing. I know I will be!
Should get Watchdog on to this lol

I've had exactly the same issues returning my nexus 10. After finally getting my return shipping labels from TNT, google only give me the wrong labels, it was retuned to Asus, who make the nexus 7, instead of Samsung.

In fairness, TNT are trying to rectify the problem for me, so that I don't have to deal with Google again. I've got to say, for such a large company, their service is appaling.

OK, specialist has said 3-5 business days, just like the last time. Maybe this time they'll actually do something. I'll keep you guys updated.
