Can't seem to get rid of this stupid search hijack.

Basically it replaces your homepage with a snap.do search.

So far i've done the following.

Uninstalled it.
Removed all traces from web browser.
Reset browsers to defult and changed homepage to google.
Scanned with adw
Scanned with malware
Scanned with Microsoft security essentials
Scanned with ad aware and spybot.
Scanned with hitman pro.

Reboot and it still there, arghhh!

Can anyone help?

My Dad had this on his PC, I think there was a folder in Program Files called Snap.do which I deleted and it disappeared, I also re installed the web browser for him (which was Chrome).

I formatted in the end as there were a few other niggles i had and general sluggish performance. Haven't done a format in a good 4 years so thought why not.

All done only took 30 minutes, all issues now gone and desktop seems snappy again :D

I've dealt with snap.do before.

I had a guide someone posted. It created two places in programs and features one called snap do and one called something else.

Deleted both of them completely and removed snap do extensions from all browsers.

Change the home page after that.

I didn't run any anti malware, i suppose i should have. I followed this guide i think.
