Just a note for those on VM and using a wireless router.

My PS3 has always connected to my home network via wireless but the download speeds from the Playstation Store are generally appalling and because the router is less than 1m away from the PS3 I never considered that it could be the problem.

I connected the router via cable tonight after the Pro Ev demo was downloading at snails pace and it imediatley maxed out my connection.

TBH I'm a bit of a gimp for not trying it before.

Just played the BioShock Demo the other night, After loving the PC version which I completed I just found BioShock very jerky. The frame rate seems 20-25fps, I was hoping it would glide along like COD4.

Didn't notice that, but I've only played the 360 version before. Maybe the additional fps with a decent PC helps?

oh without a doubt. When playing the PC version I was getting ~50-60 fps. I know its a port but just seemed sluggish in comparison. So much so its put me off buying it for the PS3.

I've never played it on the 360 so can't comment.

Again another demo where I find that my performance seems better than what others find, very strange

I found the Bioshock demo to be very nice framerate and it looked fine as well, I found the same with GTA IV, maybe it is very sensitive to badly calibrated LCD's??

Linger in Shadows and Valkyria Chronicles for me :)

Just played about 15 minutes of Linger in Shadows, very confusing but I think it is definitely a grower for what it is (interactive sixaxis / rumbly art demo) - slightly dissapointed that the trophies don't unlock as you get them, but instead they unlcock when you finish the game - I got 13 of the 16 trophies from a single playthrough!!! *eeps* - a bit too easy to be particularly satisfying methinks!!! :)

Well I bought some of the content off of the PSN today - thought I would get some of the PSone classics for my PSP to keep me entertained while I was on nights.

Red Alert and Theme Hospital! Just playing Red Alert now - it is epic!
