Wow loads of car luck today!

Gfs 05 Corsa 1.3 CTDi has illuminated a warning light. It is a car with a spanner in it but is NOT a service indicator. I am guessing this is a Vauxhall specific light, anyone here had this?

The manual says Take the car to a dealer. I suspect its a faulty sensor or similar but is it safe to continue to use the car as obviuously everywhere is shut?

Thankls guys.

You will then be able to figure out what the issue is. Report back so I can chuckle! :D

Car went into garage today apparently.

'Unknown Fault' it came up as. They reset it.

It came back on on the way back from the garage

Proper dealer?

Maybe Vauxhall didn't pay FIAT for all the fault codes when they licensed the motor? :D

Edit:
If it is the FIAT engine, the EGR valves are prone to getting mucky, especially if it's used for short trips a lot (diseasels are not shopping cars). Can be cleaned and re-fitted.

I'd have driven it (unless the diesel fumes were in the cabin and bad enough that opening the windows doesn't help). You'd feel it if it was potentially damaging to drive.
