22" Monitor advice needed

Ok i want to purchase a 22" monitor for my xmas present this year (from my gf, how lucky am i =). I have a gtx 295 card so i want something fairly decent as i mainly play fps shooters and FM 2010. Any advice as to reasonabley priced good quality monitor would be appreciated! Budget 150-200

This is the best monitor in that price range. It uses a high quality e-IPS panel, has low input lag, low response time, no ghosting, great warranty, lovely stand. Plus, due to the high qualiity panel, the image quality and viewing angles are superior to all other monitors (TN panels) in this price range.

that is one damn good ips monitor the only problem is you will have to wait for x-mas to use it

Very true go with cmndr_andi's suggestion. That monitor is amazing, it has superior colour, contrast, viewing angles and responsiveness to all the other monitors in it's category & price range. I am not sure how well its stock is doing though, in the long term scale of things. The panel might be out of manufacture by now.
