Wlcome to the forums.

It should be fine with any single card, not sure if it would handle SLI or Crossfire tho :)

I read its all about the amps on the 12v rails is that correct??

If so then i have 4 12v rails with 18A in brackets if that helps anyone.

It can run a 5870 and 5850 and I bet it will run 2 5750/70s too! My 500watt antec earth watts can handle 2 4890's in crossfire and they are a lot more power hungry than two 5770's! I'd say yes but you might be pushing it a little!

You think i should just get a single card like the 5850/70 then..realy wanted to xfire 2 cards but if i cant be 100% sure may just aswell stick to a single card then.

What about 2 5750s as i have one in pc now and it runs everything fine and does it have to be the same make n model card to xfire them?

Again thank you in advance.

Just get a single 5850/70 to start with.

Can't give you user experience of the the 5850. But as you can see by my sig I can tell you first hand about the 5870. You'll be amazed at the jump in your FPS with just a single 5870. I was amazed :). And I did not realise that I had not enabled Xfire (doh) for 2 days!!!!

Ati state 450w psu for the 5770, 500w for the 5850/5870 or a 600w psu if u Xfire any of them.

But your Psu has a total of 72amps, It will easily handle any of the cards singley with power to spare, i think that it should handle 2 x 5770's, but don't take my word for it though.

Why do you want to go up to a 5850/70 if you have a good 5750 now then?

this

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-155-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=708

and this

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-126-PC&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=708

have the same core clock speed - 700Mhz but are £25 ish different in price!

Had my 5750 since day one know and just feel in need of an upgrade but its proveing realy hard what to do,as my gut feelin says stick to a single higher card but the curiuos side of me wants to xfire 2 5770s as i hear they beat a 5850 hands down and is a cheaper than buying a 5850 also.

This is my setup right now

Antec Screwless Case
OCZ StealthXStream 500W Silent
AMD Phenom ll X4 955 @3.2ghz
ASUS M4A79xTD EVO.
VTX 5750 1GB DDR5
1TB HDD

Im asking if i fit 2 5770s would my sysytem be bottlenecked in anyway and would my PSU handle the 2 5770s when useing the cards whilst heavy gaming as well as supporting the rest of my system.

Any help be most apreciated.

The psu would handle it no problem, regardless of your usage.

Don't listen to the crap on the manufacturers website about psu's they always claim that gpus need a higher wattage psu than they do.

I can't see you having any bottleneck really, but you could always overclock your cpu to squeeze out a few extra fps for your gaming.
