Only bought a ticket 2-3 times in my life. Mugs game tbh.

May as well throw quids down the toilet.*

*Aside from they probably wouldn't flush, which would make giving them to charity a little more practical.

I never understand why people buy tickets, and never check.

I guard my ticket with my life!

There was a thing on TV a while ago about some guy who knew he'd won the lottery but had lost his ticket.

He never found the ticket and never got any money.

Sucks to be him.

If I lost my ticket and thought that I had the winning numbers; I'd search like a man possessed.

I'm guessing that those unclaimed raffle prizes are from people who only checked their lottery numbers before throwing away the ticket.

Yeah, he did, he even went to court over it (and lost). I think he ended up splitting up with his missus over it too.

And so far, every time, that feel is almost immediately followed by immense disappointment!

I like to have a few unchecked tickets in my wallet just to keep the dream alive really
When I check my tickets its like the dissapointment when I realised Santa Claus wasn't real

This!

Damn the small prizes! I just get sucked back in and buy more tickets unless I win a substantial amount (which I never have)

I have actually stopped getting email alerts, Logged in the other day to find 7.40 sitting there... Nice surprise but still..

Id like to have a signature but apparently a few lines of text is too much.....Plus no one wants to tell me why.

I would like to meet those who have discovered they have one several million, then realise they have lost the ticket, I would then like to ask them how they feel inside.

I hope I never have this feel

Played roughly 20 times in my life, won 20-30 3 of those times, therefore I'm up so rarely play.
Scratch cards on the other hand, buying my bacci I always seem to waste a quid on one.

Interesting you think buying a scratchcard is wasting money, but not the tobacco

I just spilled worms, everywhere.

This caught me out the first time I used it. I rarely play the lottery anyway, but it was a big Euromillions one so I bought about 10 worth of tickets as a one off...

The next day me and a friend were on our way to a VW motors show, and I saw I got an email so I got my friend to read it, and it was from the lottery saying I had won an amount and that I need to login!! I couldn't remember my login details at the time, and I was driving so I couldn't try things, but me and my mate were really excited thinking I'd won alot (I thought if it was a small amount they would tell you in the email)...

Nevertheless, I remembered my details when I got to the show and saw I had won a grand total of 8... so I was down 2 in total

I have a DD set up so I play 2 lines a week and it costs 8/10 quid a month. Once in a while I win 10. It's much easier just logging in when I win rather than having to find out the numbers myself and check a ticket.

We consume to enjoy, I only deem the scratch card a waste of money because I never get the desired effect, more money in my pocket.
I derive a great deal of pleasure however, from the few smokes I have of a day, even if it is bad for me it certainly does help control my IBS for one.
