Can't believe there isn't a thread about this already, but for those of you who are still up, the Bathurst 1000 has just started with a full official and free live stream on youtube.

Here's the link:

I'm watching, on a different stream.

I always try and watch this race, but its been a while since I watched an Aussie V8 race.

Only from people being greedy I think and pushing them too hard.

Not the greatest race up to now, good first lap, but not amazing since.

Very patriotic almost American before the start, the national anthem, a prayer and F18 flyby.

Safety car city now, anyone could win at this stage. Still 100 laps to go!

Not really changed much.

New pants for one driver who went backwards through the sand at 300kmh!

Awesome coverage though, they tell you the parts that have broken on the car, then cut to the pits where they actually show you the parts and explain it all on a drive train/chassis they have built up for this purpose.

Yeah NASCAR is detailed like that too, F1 could learn from that type of coverage.

All over until February now when the Bathurst 12 hour comes to town.

Expect to see Nissan and AMG testing cars for when they join the V8 Supercars next year.
