Amazing price and deal on the Samsung! Sitting here wondering whether to upgrade the two Evo's and one Pro I currently have just because of the price!

Im slowly migrating to SSD for everything 240 + 480 in desktop, 120 in netbook and 80 in USB3 caddy. Still got !.5TB in HDD though.

I think using SSD for OS and large programmes are nice.

However... Spending that sum of money onto storage is really unnecessary I think..

I'd rather save up the money to upgrade my graphics card or even mobo+cpu :D

Maybe someday when SSD is so common that they are priced the same as the HDD nowadays I will start switching LOL

That's fair enough. A lot of people see £100-200 for a primary drive that speeds their whole computer up as worth it. Especially after spending £1000+ on the rest of the box. £200 for a 500GB SSD is a bargain IMO. I would order now if I needed the extra space or hadn't already put a hybrid drive in my laptop.

I haven't used a mech drive in my desktop for at least a year, only using ssd's is the way forward. I got so used to having everything a second away, I don't think I'll ever go back.

could that work with dp

ssd is useful for fast reboots just before or during a game, that can be useful and also always loading the map first is an advantage sometimes. Sometimes people attribute disk load to lag, so it might help arma for example not sure about bf4

I think it is pivotal for large map games like bf4, i have a couple of mates who play the game on standard HDD's and if the other team is half decent they can take the first base in rush before my mates manage to load in. In comparison i have found the instant map loads my ssd brings allow me to be in the map and attacking against a quarter of the enemy team.

I for one think an ssd is the single best upgrade to any system, no other component brings such a huge change to every facet of computing....then again a beefy Gfx card is nice to! :D

That cashback from Samsung is a scam, I never got the promised 40GBP cashback from them after buying my 500GB 840Pro last summer.

Yep I agree mate, when I bought my pro, it wasn't even listed in the drop down boxes on their claim form. I contacted customer support, several times only to never get a response.
