I just caught up with the final episode. I kind of put off watching it because I had a nasty feeling I might be disappointed. And I was right. It wouldn't surprise me if they made a couple of endings for this, and the second series meant a nice tight, short series has been stretched.
I say this because I find it so incredibly hard to believe that such a cold, calculating, and thoroughly prepared killer would be so idiotic as to phone in to the station he's just been interviewed and DNA tested at to have a nice chat with the folk between him and Scully. The chances of his voice being recognised would be stupidly high.
And although I thought earlier signs that she was clearly provoking him to target her were ok, this time it went a bit OTT. If her blouse had been unbuttoned any further we'd have been able to see her belly button.
And what's with the "oh, let's just up stumps and go back to Scotland eh love?" when even if his Mrs would agree, a man who's been interviewed yeserday disappearing today might seem just a tiny bit suspicious.
Mmm... if ever there was the need for a grumpy_cat.jpg, it's here. I'm pretty disappointed after such a brutal and raw 4th episode. Though obviously I'll watch the next series.
How many episodes will it take to get Scully tied up, you reckon? Two... three?
