Under the hot sun.
The thing is, in a GPU debate, its very hard to throw direct insults and insinuate anything offensive without going full retard and looking like you have some major agenda, so the amount of ridiculous, full wall of text, passive aggressive posts that get posted are pure gold.

You think some people in here are deluded?

You should see the 'Jen-Hsun best friends' and the 'red defender' types.

You forgot the Jen Hsun is the new Messiah discussions. Worthy to be compared to the heated arguments that lead to the Thirty Years War

Only if you're doing it wrong :D.

Oh looks like we are back on topic. I felt that break was well deserved but it looks like its time to trudge through another two days of this

2 days is a bit optimistic. I fully expect a few months after the vote of one side gloating and the other explaining why they were wrong.

Can't wait til it's over because this whole thing is turning a large proportion of usually agreeable people into complete cretins.

Sadly I think "over" will mean 2020.

By facts - which are available but seem to be getting ignored in favour of nationalistic rhetoric.

Posting this video link again as people should really watch it and take a moment to think before voting:

Genuinely confused here: he said that our parliament is the supreme authority for law-making in this country, then goes on to say that leaving the EU will require a comprehensive review of the UK legal system (he also goes on to say this will keep people like him in work for a very long time). Why? If the laws we have made are 'ours', even if they contain legal requirements from the EU, then why would they need to be looked at, why not just leave them as they are?

Because he is a EU paid shill and would be out of work if we voted out. ;)

Could be referring to areas of law for which the EU has set its own standard for eg. employment law, environmental, business... etc and the UK has never had the need to make similar up to date laws since we have been tackling the same issues using the standards set by the EU.

Just my guess, but i can see how he means that.Though i dont have time to watch the video, i am far to engrossed in the 'School shoes' troll thread :D

But, but....I know i'm right, what I read tells me so, so anyone with different opinions must have been brainwashed by those places I know nothing about!!11!

Eugh, so glad I dodged that bullet. I was almost taught critical thinking, analysis and evidence weighting! Luckily I wasn't brainwashed!

And for some of the debate in here it would appear they missed basic maths courses as well.:p

More or less.

We can overrule any EU legislation if we really want, but you have to kick up a really big fuss, and repercussions could well follow, so no one bothers.

Damn, can we go back to the 'my GPU is better than your GPU' posts. I forgot how depressing the vote was for a few minutes :(
I bet most of the remainers are ATI or even, god forbid, igpu fans anyway.

You must know different academics to me then. It's a very socialist left leaning environment in my experience. But then you would expect that given the way education is funded.

The Fabian Society founded the LSE for instance. Check out their philosophy, interesting stuff. Also read up on "Common Purpose" another interesting organisation.

The information is out there if you want to find it.

You do know the LSE is one (fairly small) school. There are hundreds of universities in the UK and they aren't all the same.

My official prediction (because I know you've all been waiting):

58% Leave

My reasoning:

  • Remain getting absolutely slated all over social media, which is primarily the domain of the demographic most expect to vote Remain.
  • Attempts to demonise Leave voters as racist/xebophobic etc makes me believe they’re less likely to be honest about their voting intentions, so if the polls say 50% I suspect it’ll actually be a few more.
  • Polls in recent years have suggested 70%+ of the UK wants immigration reduced.

If I’m wrong I shall eat my hat (which is made of cheesecake).

While I think your stats might be right r.e percentage, you should really discount social media as a good indicator. I've just seen my boss post that any remain voter was supporting the Lee Rigby killers. That says a lot about social media.

Cant wait for this to be over, i want GD back to 'normal'. I didn't quit the GPU forum to enter another form of the nvidia, amd arguments in the GD forum. Some posts are genuinely good but most of them are just rumour mill stuff, slanderous gossip and mighty crystal ball predictions.

Anyway

I am voting remain because Crossfire drivers are on the up and I have faith in the new AiO GPU dual card solutions that have hit the market.

Yeah, it'll be great to go back to arguing about Muslims and immigration again! :p

Well done, you've earned a cookie for paying attention.

We invented the employment laws and promoted equal pay act 1970.

Europe was a basket case in law of employees rights and work directives.

We the UK done this before the EU made it law, so they robbed us of our accomplishment of workers rights to call it there own.

Go and do some reading and look into things please as its a little embarrassing and ignorant.
