Does anyone have any ideas\hypothesis as to why these Skylake 6700k Cpu/DDR4 clocks are dropping to around 25% when I use my XMP profile with any sort of overclock on my GA-Z170X? Temps are below 65C and I have both auto and manually set multipliers/voltages/timings of DDR,Core,VCCIO,VCCSA and LLC.

core speed______XMP Enabled?_________ SA clock_________Realbench Percentages__________Realbench score___________Notes_____________________

4.0(4.2)________No / 2133 Mhz__________1.0 Ghz___________105.96%____________________121269_________________Stock everything.
Ghz___________Yes / 3200 Mhz__________1.0 Ghz___________109.79%____________________125562_________________4% improvement +4300 score.
1.2v

4.4____________No / 2133 Mhz__________1.0 Ghz___________114.7%_____________________130669_________________10% improvement from stock, +9000 score.
Ghz___________Yes / 3200 Mhz__________1.0 Ghz___________108.27%____________________123920_________________worse all round than stock speed ddr4 and 4.4 Ghz + Xmp with stock speed CPU, cpu+ddr clocks dropping under load.
1.29v

4.6____________No / 2133 Mhz__________800 Mhz___________119.15%____________________136375_________________solid all round/very snappy. 15,000 over stock.
Ghz___________No / 2133 Mhz___________1.0 Ghz___________120.13%____________________137488_________________my top result of this test. Very impressive speeds in OS.
1.33v__________Yes / 3200 Mhz_________800 Mhz____________FAIL________________________FAIL___________________Posted once, would not re-post. Reset loop triggered, Needed CMOS cleared.
______________Yes / 3200mhz___________1.0 Ghz___________FAIL________________________FAIL___________________As above, Hangs and needs Cmos cleared, Posting B6 debug code-NVRAM cleanup.

Stock speed at auto voltage/1.35v ddr. VCCIO and VCCSA set to 1.2v or 1,25v for testing at o/c speeds.I generally use Cpu LLC level Turbo/5 = 0.1 variation idle to load verified. Any help is appreciated here, Thank you.

Xmp scores are probably lower due to ram instabillity, vccio and SA voltages will need tunning. There is no set rule for these with skylake some cpu's like em high and others low. Start off at IO 1.15v and SA 1.2v and work up.

Okay, I have a stable [email protected], Dram@3230Mhz, 70C on hottest core during stress tests. I'm scoring nearly 150,000 in Realbench. Clocks are all holding solid although the voltages were higher than I anticipated. VCCIO is at 1.28v, VCCSA is 1.270v which I'm happy at keeping permanent. The Dram voltage though, 1.49v is needed. What do you reckon? Alright for permanent use? Thanks again as she's really flying now. (Quick edit: Dram is at 40C at hottest during stress tests)

Yes that is on XMP profile. They are the new G-Skill V 3200mhz kit, 16GB (8x2). The reason for the odd speed is that the BCLK is being run at 101mhz rather than 100. I found the clocks stay a bit less jittery at 101. Ran Doom today for a couple of hours. Running good, max temps were 71C (a bit higher than I'd like but I've only an AIO, you know). Think that I'm done then until I can figure out the adaptive voltage stuff. Thank you for your help. Hope I can help others. Talk soon. Suchi.

They are timed at 16-16-16-36 1.35V, DDR4-3200, PC4-25600, 8192MBX2, Part no:F4-3200C16D-16GVK. Trfc was at 416-420 on auto, I'm creeping downwards and am at 396 atm.
