So I got my new build set up this morning. Everything worked (huzzah)

Only minor issue so far is that my Ram speeds were lower than they could/should be. On Bios they show as 2133 rather than 3200. Was aware this might happen, but could someone talk me through easy (idiotproof) to sort them out to run at 3200?

Motherboard is Asus Maximus VIII Hero: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-maximus-viii-hero-intel-z170-socket-1151-ddr4-atx-motherboard-mb-651-as.html

Ram = Tridentz 3200 (couldnt find an oc link)

Thanks

Iirc on asus Z series boards, its in the extreme tweaker/overclocking presets/ai overclock tuner. To the right is a box you can click on to select from manual, auto or XMP. Below is a screenshot from an older Z87 board of mine. But should be pretty similair on latest boards.

Quick follow up question, xmp is fairly stable/safe in the long-term?

Voltage is showing as slightly lower than what the Rams voltage is rated (1.34ish vs 1.35) but its still a fair bit higher than what it was.

Thanks again

Ram voltage is usually printed on the stick(or get it from the makers website)
I always set ram volts manually if possible :)
Maybe slightly higher if overclocking it

XMP is perfectly safe for long term use
