Finally, I can unveil the wonder that is the Phanteks Evolv ATX Glass to you all. Phanteks have taken the impressive Evolv ATX and added a pair of tempered glass side panels, RGB LED functionality and connectors for a pair of Phanteks LED strips (sold separately). The RGB functionality has been improved from previous Phanteks cases, now any connected Phanteks LED strips (including the front power light and top button) have 3 modes - Static, Pulsing and Colour Cycle, allowing you more LED customisation without the need for an aftermarket upgrade. They are also fully Asus Aura compatible if you use the Phanteks motherboard RGB LED adapter.

The end result is stunning. It is so impressive that it prompted me to upgrade from my Evolv M-ATX to an ATX X99 setup and build into an early build sample we were sent. I've been very privileged to have this as my case for the past few months and I am glad you will all get a chance to get one too! Probably the thing I like the most is the fact that both panels are tempered glass, so your cable management game needs to be on point (which is partially the reason I aren't going to share my absymal attempt, although I do have some braided cables to add which should make the job easier :))

Stock is available in Black, Gunmetal Grey and Silver, and will be available around the 2nd week of May. Preorder now, initial stock is pretty tight!

I always avoided side windows over being acrylic and even cleaning the dust off with even a micro fibre causes light scratches. Now that we have tempered glass I will definitely go for this. I love everything about this case.

In honesty, as long as you have the case in a sensible position I don;t see why it would get scratched. It's not like a phone that is constantly in and out of pockets etc.

It is a beautiful case, it's just a shame that like the standard version it's beauty has to come at the cost of either a hotter or noisier system than you could build in the Structurally similar but differently skinned Pro M :(

I'd love tempered glass on left and solid side panel on side. But that's me. In any case I will definitely be getting one of these.

Out of curiosity I assume it can handle a h110i in the roof ? and how does that work with regards the phanteks pwm controller.

The reason I ask is because Corsair say to connect the 3pin pump rpm connector to the CPU_Fan power connector (only used to report pump rpm speed). The power for the pump goes to a sata, and the 2 x 4pin pwm fans plug into the pump directly.

While my understanding is that the Phanteks pwm controller only takes 3 pin fans, and it's power and speed regulation comes from the CPU_Fan power connector.

I am assuming you can just power the Phanteks pwm controller from an alternative (aux) pwm Power connector on the motherboard ?

Iirc when I used to use mine on the luxe it needed to go on the CPU or CPU alt header.

Thanks. Sounds like the CPU alt header would be best option for pwm controller.

Must read some more reviews before pre-ordering but I have heard people complaining that the Evolv can be a bit of an oven which isn't surprising with those slots on the top and front. But I will only be lightly overclocking either with a H110i on silent mode in roof or possibly a good air cooler. I assume the GPU cooling is sufficient from the front fans. I know those Phantek models are considered some of the best. Concerned the lack of direct airflow might be an issue though.

Well determining which one is nicest is hard unless you see them in the flesh. The silver looks like it's a new colour for the glass version. To me it looks a little bright. But thats just a photo. So who knows. The black is probably the safest bet.
