Im speccing a new pc, and cant decide on the drives.
My first and only ssd, is a OCZ Agility 3 240gb. It did, and still does, amaze me. Its os, and a few of my most played games. Its seen a few fresh installs, and a win 10 upgrade, and still is faultless. Ideally, ill be putting my Mobo, CPU, SSD, Ram etc into my htpc as an upgrade for that too, and save having to get another OS.
Speeds of it are 525MB/s read and 500MB/s write, 45,000 IOPS.
I know Samsung EVOs are the go to drives. Amd im looking at those. But am i right in saying, any drive with higher specs, would be as good, or better ?
Am i really going to notice much improvement over what i have ? I know my IOPS are quite low now.
Useage wise, Im 41gb free space on OS drive. Have a 500gb HDD for other games, thats about half full.
Im thinking either
Samsung M2 951 256GB for OS and main games
Samsung EVO 750 / 850 500GB for other games.
or
Samsung EVO 850 1TB as only drive
With the M2, it seems the 951 / 961 have better speeds than the 950 Pro, for less money ?
Is an M2 drive worth while? Or just put the money towards the 1tb drive instead ?
