Hi,

We have been seeing recently (maybe a month) that EK are releasing the new Predator Range to go with the current 240 and 360 Predators.

EK have released for pre-order the 140mm and 280mm versions due to the amount of success of the 140mm fan range over the last year.

These coolers will just allow more customers to get the awesome Predator All In One Water Cooler with Quick disconnect for easy system upgrades.

The Quick disconnect function allows you to easy add one of the EK QDC blocks to your loop without draining it before hand.

The new coolers come with the EK-CoolStream CE radiators and EK Vardar Fans keeping the high cooling performance.

The EK 140 and EK 280 will be shipping from EK at the end of September so we are expecting Stock to arrive First/Second Week of October.

The EK 240 and EK 360 will be back in Stock next week.

Ek have also tried to make the pricing that little bit more competitive with the rest of the AIO coolers on the market.

1) What pump do these units utilise?

2) Can you confirm the tube is EDPM?

3) Are the QR fittings EK brand? Can the QD fittings be purchased separately.

1. The 140/280 use the EK-SPC pump. The 240/360 use the EK-DDC Pump.

2. They use EK-ZMT tubing.

3. I don't think they have EK branding on them but I have only seen EK with this style. EK do not sell them separately .

The QDCs are from CPC: www.colder.com (you can see it in one of the pics in the OP). Looks like QDC is an EK term though.

The old 240 and 360 Predators have DDC pumps, of which mine is a noisy blighter, and PE radiators for reference.

Edit: Oh wait, they do mention them on there. http://www.cpcworldwide.com/Applications/Liquid-Cooling-of-Electronics

Gotta say they have some snazzy looking ones. No postage to UK though.

I like these units and the QDC functionality makes them even more attractive for potential to expand. However, I surely can't be alone in finding the QDC's themselves pretty ugly. Make them black, the same as the tubing and they become instantly less noticeable and thus the whole unit becomes more pleasing to the eye - which is massively important to some.

Would love a Predator without the CPU block so I can have a separate rad for my GPU without having to take it apart.
Recently got a pre filled block for my 980ti and it was SO much easier using QDC's!

How true, saying the same thing on the other thread about the Predator expansion.

However contemplating if full watercooling system is an option for me, if I can put my hands on some of these

I was hoping they would make one in a 280, want one for my Zen upgrade.

I'd kinda like one without the QDC myself, I remember it was an optional upgrade on the originals but they seem to have them on all now, shame that.

Is the Predator still the best on the market? I really want a cooling solution that is as quiet as it is cool.

Hope to catch some reviews soon!

1. The 140/280 use the EK-SPC pump. The 240/360 use the EK-DDC Pump.

Is one better than the other?

CPU socket compatibility:
- Intel LGA-1150/1151/1155/1156
- Intel LGA-2011(-3)

Optional AMD Socket Upgrade Kit add-on brings further compatibility for the following CPU sockets:
- AMD Sockets: 939, 754, 940
- AMD Sockets: AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2, FM2+

What do I have to do to get an AMD bracket?
