Thanks for the news, made me realise my client had crashed, was stuck at the downloading stage. Quick delete of the work folder and it seems to be working again.

i folded on my xeons with 3 780's last night to test temps, the rig was using over 1100w with a peak of 1137w at the wall and my room when i woke up was 9 million degrees. max temps on the gpu's was 42c which is really warm i wont be running this beasty in this config again until its very very very cold :eek:

its annoying that i dont have the space to set up this board and water cooling permanently for boinc.

The battle is intense, I see you have stomped me a few times in the past week. I've got my main machine folding 24/7 and occasionally use my 2012 macbook pro (for what it's worth). May I ask what hardware you are currently utilising?

Just a stock R9 390 Tri X. Folding 24/7 aside from when I'm gaming, which isn't often.

Would like a second 390 but I'm banned from the MM and refuse to pay eBay prices...

wow they are expensive. I've got 2 x R280x. They cost a decent amount at the time (back in 2014, I believe) but deliver a decent PPD if I leave them both running.

I seem to recall I got mine quite cheap on an OcUK today only or something. I never spend very much on my GPU's.

I've been folding on and off since I had an 8800GTS 320MB. Great card that was... If a little lacking in VRAM... It died while folding, I stuck it in the oven in an attempt to re-flow the solder, it started working again, and I kept folding with it until it died again. Its addictive seeing the PPD go up... Its like playing Cookie Clicker, but its actually doing some good in the world.

Also, check your ranking. I took the side panel off of my PC which got the temps down and the boost clock up!

I'm back ahead of you again, we must be pretty equal on ppd at the moment though. Prior to my 280x I was running 2x 8800gt's, I can't remember the ppd I was getting but they were going strong for quite a few years till I sold them. I'd really love to get a second machine built with an Nvida 1080 or 2. but they are way outta my price range for now, so looks like my ppd is going to stay quite consistent for the foreseeable future.

I hadn't heard of cookie clicker and I kinda wish I hadn't. 2 Million cookies per second at the moment, where will it end!

Thats 2,225,000,000,000,000,000,000 cookies per second... That should double by tomorrow...

I accidentally stopped folding for the past few hours, have started again now.
