Can't downgrade bios on Asus Z170i

So I fancy some non k overclocking after picking up a cheap 6500T but I recently updated to the latest bios, now I can't downgrade to the modded bios to allow blk overlocking. Even official older Asus bios won't downgrade.

Is there away to downgrade the bios, EZ flash is all I have used.

You can try doing it thru Dos but i dont hold much hope.

Check if USB flashback is supported in the manual. I recently downgraded the BIOS version on a Maximus VIII Hero with no issues (using the specific USB port that enables this functionality after renaming the BIOS file as per the instructions).

No usb flashback. Dos does not work, comes up with a security policy error. Guess it's a new bios chip then. :rolleyes:

Did you rename bios file to Z170IP.CAP and use crash free then again crash free dosent work on my asus board so i returned it.

I can't get crash free to work as the bios is not corrupt.

Have you tried thru Dos page 38 of your manual or section 2-4

Yeah comes up with

bios update is not supported due to security policy

That is Good news i cant try it myself for my Board as i sent it back for replacement.
