HDMI Audio

Not really sure which section to put this in.

Here's my problem, I cannot get any audio via HDMI can not my TV.

I have a Maximus Hero Viii board and a Nvidia 1060.

I've have enabled HDMI audio in the Nvidia GFX settings and can see the device in Windows 10 playback settings. When testing the device nothing comes out my TV speakers.

What am I missing?

Is it set to default playback device?

Have you run the speaker wizard and used its test function?

Yes have tried setting it to default device. When testing I can see the graphic bar movewhen sound is supposedly being output but no sound from TV, the volume is also turned up.

It may not be PC related, have you checked the TV settings for sound via HDMI, there could be a setting in there. What TV do you have?

I would say these seems the likely culprit
