ASUS Z170 ROG Maximus VIII Formula - Audio Quality?

How's the audio quality on this board, is it good enough not to buy a dedicated sound card?

I use good quality Creative desktop pc speakers and the clarity and bass quality is great. Sounds as good as the supreme FX sound on my asus rampage iv black edition x79 board. The quality sumpreme FX sound package is one reason of many why i shell out for these more expensive Asus boards, i don't want the hassle of sound cards at all.
