1060 6GB

ABout £20 difference.

Worth it?

Without a doubt SC. I used to have the non-SC, but it thermal throttled easily (at 83c) and the fan was very loud. The SC has an entirely different cooling solution which means that temps only get to about 60c and the fan is much quieter. Also, the SC version boosted to a few hundred mhz's more than the non-SC (around 2ghz without OC), meaning improved performance in games.

Basically, avoid the non-SC at all costs. The SC is the best 1060 to get for price, customer support, warranty and of course EVGA's 'step-up' programme.

Absolutely. They look similar, but the cheaper model has a really nasty cheap heatsink akin to an Intel stock cooler, and people have been said that it quickly gets into the mid-80s and starts throttling. The new 0dB BIOS that relaxes the fan curve apparently only exacerbates the issue. The SC model has a proper heatsink with heatpipes and has no problems with thermals even with the new BIOS. Mine reaches the mid-70s under load overclocked to 2101MHz, but the fan is only running at about 1100RPM to keep it there, which means it's inaudible. The previous BIOS aimed for 60 degrees and achieved that easily at the cost of a bit more noise.

/edit/ People like that^ :p
