I use bitdefender at work for the office PCs.

Gd job on getting rid of it, their support is awful post sale. We've tied ourselves down with a 2 year license.

Avira is coming out on top at the moment as far as I can see, in real world protection stats and performance impact.

Those that say you don't need AV really don't experience what happens in a typical work environment. The new viruses that are appearing are massively infectious and appear from all sorts of places, the latest one that hit a client was from a drive-by web advert.

How bad, we've finally managed to get the ball rolling to move away from AVG (although 2016 has massively improved detection rates) and BitDefender was one of the considerations.
