Mate, the ram in the bundle is 3000mhz. On X99 once you enable XMP on 3000mhz ram. This sets the ram to that speed, and sets the base clock to 125mhz, this is also known as the strap. To overclock you use the cpu multiplier to increase the base clock. At 125 strap, a 36x setting on the multiplier results in a 4.5ghz overclock. Yes, you can run the ram at a lower speed and use a 100 strap, tighten the timings on the ram. But thats getting into advanced clocking.
