Jeremy Corbyn is facing a motion of no confidence. A secret ballot as early as next Tuesday can see Corbyn leave.

I'm quite sad to see this motion against him, and personally want to see him remain Labour leader until the next general election.

If Labour want to recover their share of the vote outside of the south, he has to go. He's a smart man, and seems like a likeable character, but he's not a leader, and he is far removed from the traditional labour base.

The political landscape of this country has been turned on it's head for sure.

I dont see him as a winnner of the next election anyway so no big deal..

Given Jeremy's popularity outside of the PLP I can't see how they can get rid of him. If the do a lot of labour MP's are risking deselection at the next election.

Tbh I think everyone is the bloody country needs to take a deep breath and take a step back were all way to excited at the moment.

he needs to go. but cant really see it. need a strong opposition to tories and that just wont happen under corbyn. idealist but without the public support it's worthless.
and unfortunately the majority of the uk doesn't lean anywhere near that way.
all he will achieve if he stays is to secure a massive torie victory which allows them to do anything they want.

well i guess the cat is out of the bag on if he's going as alister campbell was on the bbc and let slip "when he goes".

as for who's next chukka is probably a good choice IF he learns to listen and accept other peoples views but after watching a succession of labour mp's last night blame everyone but themselves for the vote i dont see that happening.

I think a massive Tory victory is on the cards now regardless of who labour get. If Sturgeon really starts pushing for another referendum for Scottish independence she would likely get one based on the fact that the situation is now very different, and if Scotland really do follow her then that leaves the Torries almost permanently in power for what will be left of the UK.

This could be a really dark period for the UK for a long time to come as the next Tory government is going to so right wing as to make the current one look like a bunch of socialist moon maidens
