I got a Gigabyte Z170X motherboard today and everything is working apart from my two sata drives. The only one that is working is the SSD with Windows 10 and the other two were just files. They worked before the upgrade but now arent even recognised in the BIOS. Is there something I need to do to re-enable them?

Do you see them in disk management with admin tools of windows? If you see them then assign them drive letters etc.

Or if the SSD is m.2 it might be disabling some sata ports which they just happen to connected to.
