got one of this batch this afternoon. Can confirm that it whines pretty hard at least on 3DMark, haven't got time to test any games yet.

I find that with any card that has coil whine, setting the max fps to the refresh rate of your monitor solves it.

My 970 whines like hell above about 100fps, however I just set adaptive v-sync on and it's now silent.
