Stand looks like it will eat up desk space sticking out the back and push the screen towards the user.

Why o why when they make slim monitors can they not make a stand that will support it that doesnt stick out at all angles. Samsung manage to do it with their curved one so why not Asus ?

I'll wait to see how many buyers return it, due to unacceptable levels of screen glow.

Quite frankly the level of compromise we're expected to put up with on current monitor tech is ridiculous..for a £1000, there should be none.

If it didn't look like some monstrosity out of a Transformers movie this would be my final monitor. Shame its so much and only 100Hz. Wait for someone else to bring out the same panel but without the "gamer" chuff.

Genuine question...

What would this monitor offer over something like this...

http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and...ltra-hd-4k-40-curved-led-tv-10127145-pdt.html

Which is curved, same resolution - 6" bigger and same LED tech with a 5 year warranty and £400 cheaper. I'm not sure what g-sync is like but I'm using a monitor on my current system that doesn't have g-sync and movement etc is superb.

I know I must be missing something obvious...

The linked one is prob 60 hertz and no gsync, so nowhere near as good .
