Super Flower 1000 Gold

Just completed my new 980ti build with a Super Flower 80+ 1000w PSU.

Is there any way to turn off the LED lighting on the power cables as i find it rather bright in my case at night?

Also, is there any clear explanation of the use of the AUTO and ECO switch on the back? I set it to EVO because I'm a tight b'stard but I don't know whether that impacts performance at all and the documentation is very limited.

The lighting cannot be turned off, the sockets light up as soon as a cable is attached.

The ECO mode allows the fan to run passive under a certain temperature, spin up a bit at a certain threshold, then go faster when another temperature is reached, then once its cooled itself off, it slows the fan down until it stops spinning again.
