I did this bungee mod awhile ago after reading about it on the silent pc site. I also took their advice and swapped my hard drives from 3.5" to 5400rpm 2.5" drives. Made so much difference in my HTPC, all I can hear now is the quiet hum of the PSU fan (haven't got around to replacing it with a more silent one).

This is in a Silverstone LC17 HTPC case.

looks really good dude!

Old thread I know, but probably going to end up doing this with my 750d airflow, Corsair should be ashamed of the 3.5" drive holders, they are noisy and awful.

The 3.5" bays on the 750d airflow sit behind the intake fan. They will be ok in the 5.25 bays? temps won't be an issue? The 750d has a large vented top, so the heat can escape, but no fans up there.

I would assume the drives will be fine, if you have both cages in the case the 2nd gets no airflow anyway and is next to the psu, so I would assume the 5.25 bays would be fine as well temp wise
