Looking for closed, over ear headphones with a budget of ~£60.

Will be used for travelling, at home & office but portability/size does not matter. Currently use Grado SR225 and Sennheiser HD555 but are unsuitable as both are open and leak sound both in/out.

I generally like a wide soundstage with good separation and fine detail.

I've seen Audio-Technica ATH-M40X headphones for £67 at the rainforest warehouse but unsure as to the alternatives at this price.

Any recommendations in this price range (up to £60, may go above slightly)? :)

hyper X clouds I's or II's or creative Aurvana Live (1's)

both at the top of their class for the price range too be honest. Obviously closed back headphones are always going to have a weaker sound stage and separation than their open back counter parts.

Love my momentums but they will be very marmite - some won't like the slightly recessed mid-range and trick bass.

In acme's chair.
Koss Pro DJ's or Creative Aurvana Live's.

I haven't tried the M40X's but I suspect they will be quite good as well. The M50's are (were?) excellent for the price when I looked at them a few years ago. :)

The Audio Technica M40X is supposedly significantly better than it's much more expensive cousin the M50X - in this price bracket it's the one I would be going for.
