Hey folks,
In the process of replacing all spotlight bulbs with LED versions in our new house, however I noticed on the bathroom spotlights, the housing /facia part states
"12V MR16 Max 50W IP65" yet the bulbs are GU10, and the connection wires are GU10 - is this ok? Seems bizarre that the housing would say one thing, but the bulbs be another...
The other question is, the kitchen ones say "MR16 12V MAX 50W" if I replace the bulbs on there with LED do I need a transformer or something like that? Or can I just swap the bulbs with, say, something like these
https://www.ledhut.co.uk/spot-lights/mr16-led-bulbs/6-watt-mr16-led-spotlight-40w-replacement.html
I know they say 40W I figure that would be enough as there are 6 spotlights in the kitchen...
Final question (sorry!) can anyone identify where I can get a replacement part for this, but in chrome?
I unscrewed it from the housing, just wondered if it can be inter-changed, or whether I would need an entire unit?
Thanks in advance!
