I've been looking for some super low profile DDR4... I'm not sure if I'm just not looking hard enough but I'm really struggling to find what im looking for.

The best I've managed to find is the corsair LP DIMMs but in comparison to my Samsung Green DDR3 I used for my ivy bridge build they don't really seem that low profile.

The Samsung green sits just below the clips. Does anyone have any ideas why there isn't a Samsung green DDR4? The design was perfect IMO.

I might be wrong but I assume that it is actually quite difficult/expensive to produce PCBs with that number of traces so close together. By moving the ram chips slightly further up from the edge connector, there is more room to route them.
