Hey

Right now I've got an 8800GTS 640meg, but I think it's on its way out! If I play intensive games at 1920x1200 it tends to pack up after about 30 minutes. What's considered the best card for games at high resolutions? I'd love to try and max Far Cry 2 out as much as possible in the next couple of weeks!

Will my processor be a bottleneck? e6600 Dual Core? Don't really want to replace that right now though

4870 1gb would be a good choice as it's much cheaper than the other 2 and can keep up quite a bit with the GTX 280 in some games.

Crysis on 1920*1200 on ultra with 2x ATI 3870 in crossfire. Solid frame rate 95% of the time. No stuttering at-all. Only have to reduce post processing to HIGH from ultra & runs mint again.

Right, I'm all ready to go for the 4870 1gig, but I'm a bit unsure on the whole PCI Express 2.0 thing. I'm pretty sure my rather dated ConRoeXFire-eSATA2 is only PCI Express 1.0. Will it still be compatible?

It is backwards compatable I think so no problems.
