I have a load of Ryobi one stuff, its been really good but the nicads are going (5 years old)

Having a makita sds i am very much leaning to a makita li-on cordless but wondered what the current Ryobi one stuff is like in comparison?

Could a Mod tweak the title please to 'Power Tools & General Tools Recommendations & Advice' please, as I've seen to have lost a bit of it.:o

EDIT: Thank you.:)

Good work! :)

I've just found the DCD785 for £140 with 1 x 3ah battery at Toolstop, or would you rather stick with screwfix prices to keep it simple?

Good find. Just ordered to replace my dirt cheap Argos cordless drill.

My DeWalt DCD785 arrived this morning and though I've not had a chance to put it to a good test, I did drill a hole into a brick in my porch wall as a test. It went through very nicely and I'd forgotten to switch to the higher speed. I also picked up the Makita P-67832 101 Piece Accessory Set which has a few items in it I'm not 100% sure what they are for :D

Good stuff, glad you are happy with it. I'm after a lighter drill myself as mine is a heavy duty drill and it a bit too heavy and big for a lot of stuff.

BTW, don't forget to register it on http://www.dewalt.co.uk/3/ to get your extended 3 year warranty.

So the products in the OP are those that you'd recommend (at various price points).
I was in screwfix yesterday and they had some makita/dewalt things on special offer, with 2 batteries but i can't remember exactly which models they were. Around about £140-180

Not all, a lot are what have been recommended by others in numerous threads, so I thought it easier to have them located in one place, rather thread after thread appearing, 'Spec me a cordless drill', or 'Recommend a corded drill' & have to continually link to same items each time.
