Another tyre thread

I checked the tyres on my car today and while there is a legal thread depth all over I noticed that on 1 tyres that between the thread there is what looks like canvas.

The tyre is roughly 2 years old and isn't perished.

I'm assuming it's an mot fail. Ie any canvas showing is a fail. You would have too look hard to see it.

A picture would be extremely helpful if you can post one for us, otherwise we're just guessing as to what the material actually is.

However, if any "canvas" i.e. the metal banding which holds the tyre carcass together, is showing then yes thats an MOT fail.

tyre depth is 1.6mm I think? any lower then its becomes illegal ?
